With over  years practical experience as a learning and development professional who works in organisational, leader, leadership, coach and mentor development.  Experienced in the design and delivery of learning and development programmes ranging from individual sessions to fully accredited learning programmes.

Responsible for coaching and mentoring in one of Northern Ireland's largest public sector organisations, as well as being an executive, leadership and team coach,  I specialise in coach and mentor scheme design; whether supporting new to role employees, peer mentoring schemes for individual departments or as part of wider leadership or mentoring programmes.

 

In recent years to support organisational coaching and mentoring,  I have designed and delivered coach and mentor skills training to over 750 leaders and managers through a 'leader as coach' programme as well as more in-depth skills training to support organisational coaches and mentors on internal schemes; this includes the delivery, assessment and internal verification of coaching and mentoring qualifications at levels 3, 5 and 7 through ilm.

Taking a pragmatic action research approach to professional development; my experience in organisational and leader development is underpinned by a BA in Leadership and Management, a MSc in Coaching & Mentoring and am currently studying for a Professional Doctorate in Business Administration.  Recent action research has included the impact of informal mentoring and other developmental relationships as a method of leader development and organisational learning.

As well as organisational consultancy including design and delivery of training, I have experience in the application of and using wide range of psychometric tools that includes personality preference, team roles, 360 degree feedback and Mental Toughness.
